Greene King pubs reopening list of 442

A day of the year on which I doubt I would have ventured to the pub anyway.
After a search, I had a little chuckle from this thread - a few names sadly missing from these pages for a while...

Wow! I recall that story - I never thought they could make it happen though - quite heart-warming...

Yes, extraordinary that that the penalty was imposed and that the contractors actually seem to have made a good job of it. Heart-warming indeed. One for the to-do list, I think.

Will be making a fly-past in about 40 mins as I only live 1.25 miles from the place.

Yes - visited last night, a photo proves it. It's really very impressive (at least it looks so in the dark) with a the replicated Charrington's tiling in place and a new simple period mahogany bar back with mirrors (I think the pub's interior was originally quite plain). An image from April 2019 on Google shows it nearing completion and you can easily see the join between old and new!
I think the bugger behind this is responsible for The Magdala Tavern (should reopen soon), The Old White Bear and The Chippenham Hotel, the last two boarded up for years - possibly others too.

Not very pub-like but Bucking Fastard might appreciate this version of the "Suez Crisis",
