    Default A Visit to Wembley

    Hiyall,

I am due to visit Wembley Stadium for a tour (not a match) in mid-February with Mrs Staal. We are getting in by train to Euston Station.

Mrs Staal is distinctly unpubby, so no crawls while I am there. However, I wonder if anyone out there can tell me of a decent, interesting pub near Wembley or Euston where I can get a decent pint, Mrs Staal can get a decent Mocha, and we can both get a really nice meal?

    Cheers!

Don't know about the meal, but just outside Euston station you would have the Euston Tap,and there are quite a few coffee type places there where I would imagine a mocha can be obtained.
Alcohol doesn't solve problems .... but then again, neither does milk.

I'd stick to Euston as the pubs in Wembley leave a lot to be desired. The Doric Arch is a Fullers pub so will probably do food, maybe others could confirm.

Another nearby, but perhaps more food orientated, Fullers pub is the Euston Flyer

Another idea might be the Metropolitan Bar right above Baker Street tube station - one of the better London Wetherspoons and very handy when changing underground trains on route to Wembley.

Does the Somers Town Coffee House near Euston Station fit the bill?

Unfortunately I didn't review the coffee (I assume Mocha is some type of coffee?) when I was in there recently, but my impression was that it is certainly the sort of place where you can take a lady (and there are pubs in that part of the world where you wouldn't want to). The ale's nothing very special but I had a pint of Young's London gold and it was OK.

Cheers for all of the suggestions. And yes Rex, a Mocha is a blend of chocolate and coffee.
