Brewdog - Punk IPA, from Foley's in Leeds. Up there with an Imperial Stout from North Bar, and a couple of Ossettt brews from The Hop. This weekend was notable that I had my first ever brew from the Fernandes brewers that did not appeal (called "Solar Powered" - just a bit bland - maybe they were honouring Tetleys?).
- Beer of the week this week KELHAM ISLAND PALE RIDER 5.2% ABVKelham Island Brewery.

Yesterday featured fff Moondance at Horsham's Malt Shovel, Surrey Hills Greensands IPA at Warnham's Sussex Oak, Surrey Hills Gilt Complex at Rusper's Royal Oak, all fabulous beers, but botw has to be (again) the sensational Thornbridge Kipling, enjoyed on separate occasions at Croydon's George (£2.30).
Nothing to spectacular this week , everything tasted a bit bland probally more to do with the fact i have got a bit of a cold rather than the beer .

Theres a Man with a Mullet going Mad with a Mallet in Millets !
Limited choices for us, but the Sheffield Brewery Mild Steel 3.7% has to be BOTW this week. Enjoyed it at the Star in Crowlas where the beer is always good.
I went in 10 Everards houses yesterday so i had better go with one of their beers.
My favourite beer this week was Everards Beacon bitter and this was very nice in the Stamford Arms in Groby
A great selection of beer to choose from this week.
Mallinsons Blacknell Bullet & Kirkstall Dissolution IPA were very good in Mr Foleys. (Punk IPA? on KEG? yeuk!)
Outlaw Wrangler & Liverpool Organic Porter were also good in the Cross Keys (Leeds).
Goose Eye Black Moor was very good in the Town Street Tavern (Horsforth)
Junction Porter in the Scarbrough (Leeds) and Ossett Madeline Lily in The Hop (Leeds) threw their hat into the ring.
But I think BOTW is going to be Salamander Interceptor tried in The Grove (Leeds).

A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Not a bad week for beer, but not reaching the heights of last Sunday's mini crawl round Leeds. Tried this week:
Allgates - Pretoria.
Goose Eye - Gooseneck.
Beartown - Black Bear.
Abbeydale - Absolution.
Tigertops - Tom Tom MILD.
Derby - Old Intentional.
Great Heck - Slaughterhouse Porter.
Goose Eye - Over & Stout.
Oldershaw - Blonde Volupta.
Fullers - Ascot Tercentenary.
Fernandes - Lime Lite.
Fernandes - Basil's Ruin.
Woodlands - Midnight Stout.
Particularly enjoyed the Pretoria and the Midnight Stout, but the clear winner was Oldershaw Blonde Volupta.

Same beer, same pub, same price for me too. There wasn't much in the way of competition but it's a worthy winner regardless.Originally Posted by trainman
