Has a bit of a "Pork Pie makers of Melton Mowbray...." feel to it but anything that helps get the message across is fine by me. Made me feel a bit thirsty though.

Sadly I am proud to be so cynical that I just find that type of advert irritating (and left me with a true Prudential feeling of 'Wanting to be a tree'), but as Roger says, well done to anything that gets the message across.

I did wonder, to be honest. However, I've never seen a Somerset Brie look that appetising. There again, I don't shop at Paxton & Whitfield or La Fromagerie. Mind you, the debatable merits of SB pale into insignificance compared to German Feta - vile stuff.

'ere, how come the Germans can call it Feta when Yorkshire's own Shepherds Purse had to change the name of their's to Yorkshire Fettle 'cos the Greeks objected?

I'd forgotten all about that! However, I now remember it being very acrimonious at the time. Regarding the German stuff, I don't know. Maybe it was the careful wording on the packaging?
