Leipzig centre is not great for beers /day drinking, Brauhaus Thomaskirche can be skipped, there's an Irish pub obsession
Bayerische Bahnhof & Ohne Bedencken are good choices.
For craft, Goldehopfen, Cliff's, Synde Bräu, Dr Hops.
Leipzig's big bar scene is Connewitz at night👍
