A very good job, Will. I would suggest a couple of tweaks, including moving up the Sun, to avoid a bit of doubling back and also the risk of getting to the late openers too early.
So: Tite & Locke, 3 Mariners, Sun, Bobbin, Stonewall Tap, Whittle, Borough, White Cross, Water Witch if reqd, Royal/Hogarths/Spoons/Ring O'Bells, Olde John O' Gaunt, Jailors Barrel, Merchants.
I do wonder whether to decide to omit the Water Witch as there is a good selection of others nearer in a logical line.

Anyway, I have pointed Dave's tool at it (Ooh err missus!) which produces this, with timings: https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pub-cra...384e7a1a/view/
Deduct 35 minutes from those after the Water Witch if it is left out.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

Thanks for spotting that, Graham. I had a similar thought, but was influenced by thinking about one of my friends on Discourse who is not only a) not a big fan of the Sun but also b) not as mobile as she used to be. (However, she has said that she'll be missing out pubs that are beyond her reach and meeting up with the main party further on.) I'll tweak this bit of the schedule.

With regard to the Water Witch, I thought I had made it clear that this is really only for completists and tickers. Much better to stop a bit longer in the White Cross, as it's nobbut a step to the Borough from there.

I've thought a little further about what Graham wrote, and have posted this on CAMRA's Discourse:

The Whittle is only an option, as the beer is not the best or the most interesting, and the pub’s historical interest is largely confected (it was built long after the “witches” had been killed), though it’s a pleasant pub to sit in with a beer. If it’s closed when we walk past on the way to the White Cross, we can either come back that way (on the way to the Borough), or pop in there after the Borough. Likewise the Stonewell can be done later, though it involves a little bit of doubling back.

There are too many pubs for me to do in one day, but I go to Lancaster two or three times a year so I can do any of them whenever I feel like it. For those who’ve never been, and don’t intend to go again, I can understand wanting to do as many as possible. I’m just saying we don’t have to do them all, in the same order, as a group all turning up at once. We can be flexible.

I've also provided a link from Discourse to Graham's route plan, so people can decide for themselves, based on their own limits of beer capacity, walking stamina and available time before their trains home.

Hope this is OK with everyone.

Couldn't find any suitable accomodation with parking in Lancaster, so I'm in the metropolis of Morecambe.

Staying over on the Thursday, so will do a Morecambe crawl that night, should add a few newbies as I haven't been there since I started reviewing.

Train gets into Lancaster at 11:52 on the Friday.

Might need a curry on the Friday night.

    Thanks, Nev.

I think there might be one or two more Discoursers, but we'll wait and see.

I should be in the Tite & Locke by about 11:45.

Good to be part of a group of a dozen, by my count, partly Pubs Galore, partly CAMRA Discourse, on a great circuit of Lancaster today. Apologies if I've miscounted - please correct me. I accidentally bought two halves in the last pub and then realised belatedly that I'd got confused between the train I might have got (at 18:10) and the one I was going for (19:02) and thought I had plenty of time until suddenly rushing from the pub at 18:57 and getting there with 20 seconds to spare!

Let's hear some suggestions for similar days out. Newark was mentioned - any others?
