Bewdley is probably better than Kiddy tbqh but isn't simple to get to and from which likely rules it out.
I'd be happy with Newark, Northampton and Cov as the options.
Virgin places with 10 decent venues within a 30 minute radius are few and far between now. We might need to begin recycling or drop the quota demands down a notch!
What about Beeston, SW of Nottingham city centre.
We could start at the Vat & Fiddle near Nottingham station - like we did in 2011 - then get bus, tram or train to Beeston. There are 10 pubs with GBG quality (including the Spoons). Admittedly some are a bit spread out, but those who don't fancy the extra walking could just do the central ones and get back into Nottingham to do a few more there.
So this would be a bit of "dropping the quota" and a bit of "recycling" too!

I did a couple in Beeston two years ago and would certainly be up for a revisit. Agree there is enough there and would be good to see how the Somewhere Beerhouse is getting on and see if the rather good The Pottle has managed to resurface anywhere.

There has been a good number of ideas for the Autumn 2026 Midlands Crawl so I will post up a poll of those suggestions.
