works for me as I can combine it with a trip up to see the folks

I'm away a lot over the summer, but if the day drops favourably I'll be up for Lancaster.

Even though Lancaster is a pain to get to for me, 2 changes on rail and 1hour 45 and £31 even though it's not that far away.

Poor selection of hotels as well, if I decide to drive.

Strangely, when we were planning to do Preston in 2020 I'd actually booked a couple of cheap tickets to spend an hour in Lancaster! Covid scuppered that plan.

With no strong objections and quite a bit of support Lancaster seems to be the choice.I will post a date poll for June and July.
