New pub visits 2026

49 new ticks in July taking me to 314 new ticks YTD. Some time in Cardiff at the start of the month enabled me to complete photos of all South Glam venues and reviews of all bar one in the centre of Crdiff - tricky one for me to tick because of its hours / days open. Added quite a few new venues in Cardiff also. A few more to add once visited in second half of August. Managed to do the couple of venues airside in Cardiff airport by flying from there to Dublin to get a flight to Isle of Man for a planned trip there. Generally most new ticks were new venues in and around Central London as not had any time with work to venture to new and further out parts of London in July. Think August more if the same but trying to get around to unreviewed Central London venues, pretty much all of which I have previously ticked, by the end of 2026 so sort of venues you have to do in moderation as not shall we say cask havens!!

That's funny - I didn't think there was an All Bar One in Cardiff...

28 for me in July, thanks to Lancaster and a couple of other trips. Nothing much fixed up for August yet though.

I read it a bit like that after I posted although missing capitalisation!! The one I don’t have a visit to leave alone a visit with review in Cardiff is Kings! Late opener but probably just outside the description of a nightclub so will try and do when I am down there next two weeks on Wednesday coming!

A trip to Bury on Friday confirmed that I'm not impressed with the options in the town.

Still, 5 new ones inluding the rather good Broad Street Social.

Not going to get to any new venues today being a BH Monday. August was a good month for new venues with a trip to Bournemouth and a trip to Cardiff to add the remaining venues I had noticed but not previously ticked or added to PG. also had an evening in Caerphilly given I have exhausted South Glamorgan venues. Had a trek down to Mitcham & Morden this week just gone on Mon & Wed evenings, a totally new area of Greater London for me. Other than that some re-openings in Central London and bits and pieces. All told 69 new venues and bringing the YTD end August to 383. Am out of UK middle two weeks in September that will add new ticks in this count but not much to PG!
