New pub visits 2026

Had a bigger month in April with 77 new venues so up to 195 new venues for the year at end April. Did quite a few revisits to photo and review also. Month tally of new venues aided greatly by a material completion of Barry in South Glamorgan. No big plans for May, did a revisit of Eltham to compete reviews for SE9 and ticking off the unreviewed E1 venues plus a few stragglers in Central London that have not ticked off as new venues or reopening’s. Might start unvisited Greater London W postcodes in latter part of month as my last large unvisited London postcode area and have a Friday night in London right at end of month so will tick a few brewery taprooms in N19, E10 and E17 that only open Fri-Sun.

Another visit to Waterloo (Merseyside) added one new bar in Waterloo and four new ones in Formby.

Now up to 23.

An afternoon in Clitheroe added another 4. Now on 27.

Things finally warming up (more ways than one) with 37 in May including a couple of good crawls. I was particularly impressed by Newark, rather less so by Windsor.

Pushed on to 115 with 31 achieved last month despite a couple of sparse weeks due to family issues.

95. Now looking better to hit the 200 mark, though it will probably slow down a bit once the Somerset Ale Trail starts next month.

30 new ticks in May with Inverness,Tooting and Kingston all receiving attention taking the year to date total to 92.

June may see some exploration of West London ,so hopefully into three digits by the half way point of 2026.

Only 25 new ticks for me in May but a lot of revisits to photo and review, still trying to do venues that haven’t been reviewed on here if I’m not able to get to far flung areas of London! Now on 220 new ticks for 2026 and hoping to get to 250 by the end of the first half of the year. First half of June will be relatively quiet for me though for new ticks.
