BOTW goes to Five Points - Derailed Porter last night at The Pocket
This week:
Cask
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Everards Graffiti
Keg
Anspach & Hobday London Black
Braybrooke Smoked Helles*
Only with Love All Star*
Bottle
Estrella Galicia*
Impressed with the Estrella Galicia but I've never seen it in the UK. BOTW Only With Love - All Star. A 5.9%, fruity IPA billed as being "super-juiced". I'm not sure what that means but this was very good and nicely balanced demanding a second (and a third). With thanks to the Ale Pole.
"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter
Petersham and Copenhagen.
Fullers -- London Pride
Norrebro Bryggus -- New York Lager (bottle)
Norrebro Bryggus -- Bombay IPA
Flying Couch -- Pim De Keysergratch *
Ebeltoft -- Wildflower IPA
Gamma x Sudden Death -- Organic Machenics
Svendborgsund -- Brown Ale*
Insight Cellars -- Muskat Ottonel *
Flying Couch -- Broens IPA
Brooklyn -- Stonewall IPA
All these beers apart from London Pride were keg.
BOTW goes to Insight Cellars Muskat Ottonel ,described as a fruited spontaneous ale with grapes ,at 7% it proved to be as sour as a sour thing but really interesting consumed at Skaal ,Kultorvet 11 near the university and with it's 48 taps there is something for everybody and the best place I found for beer in this expensive city.
Next week boating and painting in Staffordshire ,top ale most likely then some footie to round off the week.
