As expected, a quiet December leaving me on 314 for the year, a bit down on normal but tolerable. I also shot past my target of 50 unreviewed pubs quite easily, but failed on the 50 unphotographed - it's getting too difficult to find them anywhere sensible!
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement
Scratched four today in Royston - Barnsley rather than Hertfordshire.

Not up to date with amalgamating my iPhone Notes but think it was about 750 new venues in 2025. Bit down on recent years as I lost some time in the summer and did a lot of revisits to photo and review (but not up to date with posting on here) venues visited pre PG for me (so not counted as ticks for 2025) but which didn’t have photo’s or reviews on here.
Final tally says 309. Not bad for a relocation and busy work year! Lowest total since 2022 though!
Around 575 last year with lots of travelling up and down the country so got to tick off a few counties that I hadn't visited previously for 'pub research'.
It should be much the same this year. I'm up in the Northeast for a few days at the end of the month so I'll get a chance to tick off County Durham, which will leave just Herefordshire as my final unvisited English county. So I'll be aiming to visit in before the end of the year.
