But we always define our pub crawl areas by north, midlands and south. So this means we will never do Scotland, Wales, East Anglia or the South West. I understand why this is - we're all fairly randomly placed around the UK, so the chance of a reasonable nucleus of people meeting up in Plymouth is going to be fairly slim.
No southern destination has been proposed this time. Peterborough seemed like a reasonable destination, and Newark is in a similar area with good connections. Do we have to be hidebound by orthodoxy? (I may have had a beer or two - please forgive loquaciousness.)

Leaving aside arguments about Peterborough's location (historically in Northamptonshire so definitely Midlands rather than South if excluding East as a region!), I agree that going towards the West would be a good idea, not least since we did both Cambridge and Lincoln last year. We haven't done Bath since 2011 or Reading since 2013 and I don't think we have ever done Bristol.
