I've lived across the M62 belt most my life and never been there & would be tempted! Halifax and Hebden Bridge nearby are also excellent.

I think I expressed concerns about Winchester at the time, hills, sun and all. Eilean Leòdhais is never going trouble anyone if they're trained for year-round arctic weather.

Maybe we just need to expand and define the three broad areas of the UK more accurately.I don't believe that we ever meant to exclude Scotland,Wales,East Anglia or the South West. I really enjoyed the PuG crawl to Norwich for instance. How about....

South includes the Southwest ,South Wales ,East Anglia,Channel Islands

Midlands includes Mid and North Wales

North includes Scotland ,Northern Ireland and Isle of Man

I will stick Plymouth on the poll

Yes, but Tris is having a little joke about Nev's typo. Lewis is in the Outer Hebrides and has very little in the way of either warm, sunny weather or more importantly, pubs. The town in East Sussex that has been mentioned is of course Lewes, which is blessed with both.

I must have been half asleep, especially since I've been through Lewes on the train twice this year already...

These aren't crawl destinations, they're tax havens visited in various episodes of Whicker's World.

Well, you can certainly have a decent pub crawl in St Helier, St Peter Port, Douglas and several other Isle of Man towns, whatever region you put them in, and possibly even Sodor (which may be the capital of Whicker Island?).
