A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Kent:
Burning Sky-Aurora 5.6%abv. Grand Sussex Pale.Tropical fruit,green shoots,herbs.
Goacher's-Special House Ale (Oxney Ale) 3.8%abv.Gentle earthiness.
Inspite of consuming more than is good for me of the Goacher's, my BOTW is Burning Sky Aurora, a beer that I do not come across very often,of which I had to limit myself to a half.
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Marylebone.
Very poor week just one pub visit so by default BOTW goes to Adnams Ghost Ship,in good nick in The Prince Regent.
Next week back in the saddle, with end month sessions in Hertford,The Wenlock and footie.
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson

Slim pickings this week, owing to a lot of family commitments. Just a Friday teatime session.

Luddite - Mosaic.*
Luddite - Transportation IPA.
Luddite - 1812*
The Milk Stout has become a firm favourite. Taken in The Calder Vale Hotel.

Local and a day or two out east:
Barsham Golden Close IPA*

Adnams Ghost Ship
Brancaster Nelson's Shantymen
Woodfordes Volt IPA (keg)
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Byatts Smoke on the Porter*
Byatts Olizacca IPA*

Really enjoyed the Olizacca IPA, 5.7% and properly bitter, but BOTW goes to Timothy Taylor Landlord. Slightly surprised by this one but it just seemed to provide the right blend of quality, comfort and numbness while watching England lose yet another rugby match.
