    Default CAMRA News of the Day.

    Three London pubs newly added to CAMRA's heritage list:

    The Prince George

    The Latchmere

    The Old Eagle

    Thanks for that. Unfortunately the George has not been written up by the heritage group yet. Perhaps they'd like to borrow from my review:

    A down to earth street corner local, but not one of those classic corner pubs that were built first and then the neighbourhood filled in around it. This one looks like it was built at the same time as the housing and was just stretched a little to make it pub sized. The layout is a little eccentric as a consequence, and this has generated a different feel, somewhat reminiscent of some pubs I can remember from the 70s that had been acquired by groups with an alternative lifestyle, though I'm of course not suggesting that drugs would be available here. It just has a relaxed feel to it. The off-white walls have framed posters and other art works, plus a giant map of the world.

    Glad to see my Pub of the Year so far The Pele in Corbridge has made the GBG.

    A tick many of the tickers won't have

    Well worth a visit - I'm more of a "destination pub" type than a ticker.. However I'd not even heard of it until around a week prior to my Hexham trip.

    For those who do like a crawl there are brilliant opportunities on that train line through Hexham, Corbridge and Wylam. Lots under the radar
