Yes, it's that second date that's the problem, with the engineering works at the weekend. Lincoln and Nottingham have tied, but there's no easy way to do both.

For example, Graham says he couldn't do them on consecutive days, while Mick says he couldn't do them *unless* they were on consecutive days!

Many thanks for the confirmation Will. Was interested so that I could jump on the train app to snap up a very convenient direct train from KingsX that gets me into Lincoln at 12 noon.

Friday, November 1st was the clear winner of the date poll. If your train goes via Nottingham, you could use your ticket for whichever destination we end up at! Seriously, though, that date in Lincoln looks favourite to me, as Ray & Fiona seem to have set their hearts on going, and they mention two friends who'll be coming with them - pity they could only vote once...

I see that there are no EMR engineering works affecting Saturday 26th October or Saturday 2nd November. Also Saturday 12th October has some timetable alterations but they don't seem to affect either Nottingham or Lincoln. All these dates received four votes. But deciding between these is getting complicated and time is getting short.

My suggestion would be that we go for Lincoln on 1st November and put Nottingham to one side for the time being. (If Mick wants to do Nottingham on Saturday 2nd, maybe some others will stay over and join him. I've got something else on that day, and Graham has intimated that two consecutive days don't suit him, so it'll be a little depleted, but maybe not too much.)

    Any other ideas?

Lincoln 1st November seems fine to me.

Nottingham was and still is my choice for the PuG Autumn/winter crawl, however if Lincoln is the general consensus , I'll go with that and still do (some of) Nottingham the next day, this still might not be fair on others who voted for Nottingham originally seeing as the vote was a draw.

This is very reasonable and modest, as is only to be expected from you, Mick. Eight people voted for Nottingham, and three of them (Bucking Fastard, Pangolin and RPAdam) also voted for Lincoln so can be expected to be content with either outcome.

I voted for Nottingham but not for Lincoln, partly because I am going to Lincoln on 1st October anyway, and although I don't mind going twice within a few weeks, I didn't want to sway the decision when I was more of a "shrug" than a "yay". Count me as half in the Lincoln camp at the time of the vote, but fully on board now.

Gann didn't vote for either venue but is now keen to buy his train ticket for Lincoln. Ray & entourage I've already mentioned - it seems like defo four attendees there.

You have expressed yourself fairly well pleased without being over the moon. TrisC has confirmed his support for Lincoln. The two other Lincoln supporters (Steel Breeze and Stevie Boy are not names that I recognise - can someone please enlighten us if they know them.

I may have missed or forgotten other responses, but by my count Brainypool, Quinno and Steve the Crawl voted for Nottingham but not Lincoln. I hope they will let us know how they feel about what seems to me to be a pretty good concensus. If any of them want to do Nottingham on the Saturday (2nd November), it looks like there might be a few people from here in attendance.

I'm not massively obsessed with any outcome and am generally happy with whatever...

I'm pretty sure Big Steve (Steve The Crawl) will go with the flow and of course will be joining me in Nottingham the following day, I will of course check with him if he doesn't see this, I'm sure Quinno and Brainypool can speak for for themselves but believe Quinno (having fairly recently spoke with him about such things) generally requires a Saturday due to work commitments.
