Using Google Maps I calculated that a route starting at the station, then Earlsdon (3 pubs)Hearsall Inn,Broomfield Tavern, then the city centre pubs before Twisted Barrel Tap and then back to the station would be just shy of 6 miles, hence 2 hours walking time to visit 11 pubs.Is that too much walking time ?

Just quickly put the pubs into a crawl for each of them if you want to edit the possible running orders and stuff you can clone the crawls and fiddle.
Nottingham
Coventry
If only I knew what that means!
There are far too many apparently pretty good pubs in Nottingham, but they're fairly well spread out and we couldn't possibly do them all in one day. So some decisions would need to be made if it's going to be Nottingham.
The Doctors Orders on Mansfield Road is too far out from city centre pubs (even if including the potential wildcard of the Peacock at the city end of Mansfield Road) and would require a bus there and back.
The Plough Inn is about a mile west of Canning Circus where there are three GBG pubs (Organ Grinder, Sir John Warren and Good Fellow George) plus one (the Falcon) that is on three pint glasses on the new BQA (Beer Quality Accreditation) system that's being introduced on Camra Experience. (NB Camra members will be able to open both of those links, I'm not sure what happens with non-members, but I think the beer scores will be unavailable.) It seems crazy to catch a bus out there and back, when there are four decent pubs within a few yards of each other (three of them have the same postcode).
To the east of the centre, Keans Head is a reasonable walk from the three Sneinton Pubs, Fox & Grapes, King Billy and Partizan Tavern. There's a draw back here, in that the last named of those is a 4pm opener, but if we time it right it could work.
The Vat & Fiddle was our meeting place in 2011 when we last did Nottingham, which makes sense as it is within a stone's throw of the station. Two good pubs are not far away, the Embankment ( Heritage Interior) and the Stratford Haven in West Bridgford. Two problems here, first that the direction of walking between these would be taking us away from all the other pubs on the crawl. Less importantly, perhaps, all three are Castle Rock tied houses, so not much in the way of variety.
That little bit of pruning brings the total ppubs back down to nine! Obviously, storng walkers and fanatics could do more...
Maybe Coventry or Chesterfield would be better after all.

I see that pruning, rather than extending, is already the brief for Nottingham but those who haven't been there, or those doing a double-header overnight, should also consider nearby Beeston, with the Crown (in my national top3) and Victoria my favs, but great support acts in the Star, Hop Pole, Totally Brewed etc.
