A pub is for life not just for Christmas
No pub this week: found a couple of Yorkshire Dales Coast2Coast west coast IPA cans which sufficed as worthy BOTWs. Next week, a Sheps pub is forecast, so I'm not expecting great excitement.

The last four taken in the Nags,Reading would have won most weeks but BOTW goes to Steelfish King of the Mild Frontier described as a double dark mild,at 6.5% it hid its strength well and had that dry finish you come to expect from a mild.Dangerous and on NBSS 4.5 form in the superb Magnet.
Next week not much planned

Despite a day around Brighton on Sat I have to select something from the periodic fest (last thurs-fri of the month, apr-oct??) at Carshalton's Hope, I tried the extraordinary 'All Night Long' from Siren (10.2% imperial stout, £5 a third) but my botw would have to be 'No Sleep til Malton' from Brass Castle - raspberry jam in the tasting notes was spot on, lovely with a hop bomb alongside for contrast.
(Hope notes: "Stout. Coffee and doughnuts have always been a perfect pairing, this has the raspberry jam plus the big coffee hit.."
