A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Marston's - Wainwright Amber.
Two pints of this were had in the Darlington Flyer. I was slightly cautious on the first sip having taken a look around the venue, but it was brilliant. I then sat outside at the back in some unexpected sunshine and enjoyed some EDM mashups. Low expectations but good delivery made for an excellent 45 minutes in the sun. It clouded over so indoors for 10 minutes where the soundtrack was 1960s which I quite like too.
Decent week locally:
Pennine Brewing Company Northern Soul
Growling Dog Raspberry Milk Stout*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Hop Back Summer Lightening*
Byatts XK Strong*
Hop Union Moose River*
Everards Hour Glass
Thoroughly enjoyed the Moose River, a 5% American pale but BOTW goes to Byatts XK Strong. Billed as a strong mild at 4.9%. Dark chocolate and dark berries with the wonderful, dry finish associated with milds ensuring an easy pass on the three pint test.

A solid bunch, but nothing particularly memorable. BOTW goes to an old favourite. Predictably taken at Luis Bar @ Fernandes.
