24 new pubs this month, with five above average:

    The Crooked Billet
    Dog & Fox
    Hand In Hand
    Rose & Crown

Hands down, POTM goes to The Sultan

With only 12 new pubs in May , POTM goes to a railway arch. Great for fans of continental beer, I'm still very much a novice.
It Ain't Much If It Ain't Dutch. There will be a review sometime hopefully in the near future.

I know Tris tends to confine his vote to 'new' pubs, but that's not a potm rule is it?
I understand that it broadens the horizon but truly great re-visited pubs would never again get a look-in..?

Not the rule but I try not to put the usual suspects in every month.

My new ticks in May were nothing out of the ordinary apart from this one, modern but worth visiting again when I'm next in Manc.

Not a new rule at all but as mentioned, I try to highlight something that's new for me appeals, perhaps hasn't been reviewed for some time or is perhaps a first review. If I were to give POTM to the places I visit frequently, it would look very dull.

Maybe, but not as dull as mine most months recently, I really need to get going to add some newbies or even get back to some classics.

Hi Tris, you made it to the Sultan and even popped head into the nearby Nelson, but seemingly omitted the Traf?
Perhaps it was still marked closed when you did your research..?
Not open until 16:00 Mon-Thurs though...
