Went out to sample the pleasures of Clapham last night and although The Abbeville is only a modern conversion which I had no intention of visiting, the whole area was cordoned off due to someone running around with a shotgun and without a licence too, resulting in a huge detour.
A reasonably good day out in the field today with 9 ticked off albeit mostly in Marylebone, 41.

3 newish openings in Manchester on Wednesday after the Northern Restaurant & Bar Trade show move me up to 22.The two days in Skipton yielded 18, so now on a much more respectable 19.
It would have been more if two micros and a late bar had opened when they said they would.

73 for the year plus one 'spoons modern conversion; should hit the 2,000 mark by June but Cambridge might bring the date forward.

It needed a quick thrash round Huddersfield to reach target but I managed another 32 which tops the 100 for the year so far.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement
