(Although I've got my redundancy pay on the way shortly)
Nothing too cheap on a Saturday, paid £189 for 2 nights Fri - Sat stay, would have been £77 cheaper Thurs-Fri but Steve couldn't make the Thursday.

I should be there on the Saturday. Something to look forward to after a week in the new job

I'll message you either Friday night or Saturday morning with some sort of plan.

Thanks. I'm an early waker so I suspect it'll be Wethers second breakfast or Sheffield Tap before noon. I'm mobile so don't mind a trek out if the centre has been ticked on the Friday.

Sheffield is now on Amber rain warning - my hotel is cancelled. It was bad enough driving Newcastle to Stockton this morning!

    1) I missed the official PuG trip to Rugby a few years back and haven’t been for several years.
    2) I could get advanced singles each way at sensible times for under the current price of pint of ale in a Euston pub.( granted with old fogies rail card)
    3) The date fits for when the misses is in Bath doing the Christmas markets and I won’t be confined to the spare bedroom when I get home.

More than happy if any PuG contributors want to tag along.
I thought I had replied to this a week or two ago (but can't now find any evidence...), but I hope to be in Rugby that day.

    Jolly good...

My train gets in at 11.46 and I was planning to get some scoff in The Rupert Brooke (JD Wetherspoon) before heading off for The Squirrel and The Merchants Inn

Haven't made my mind up yet but tempted.
