Of those mentioned, Cambridge is the most doable from the north(east).
This is the only destination mentioned so far that I would be interested in.
There are a dozen pubs in the GBG, of which seven are fairly centrally placed:
Devonshire Arms - closest to the station
The Cambridge Blue
Earl of Beaconsfield - about 10 minutes from the station but doesn't open until 1pm
Calverley's Brewery Tap
The Elm Tree
The Free Press
The Geldart
These can be done in one hour's walking time.
The next three are a bit farther out:
Royal Standard (a bit further east of Earl of Beaconsfield)
The Maypole (a bit further north-west of Champion of the Thames)
Champion of the Thames (a bit further north-west of Elm Tree & Free Press)
No doubt there are some wildcards that might be of interest along the way...
