Just heard that the Plough in Radford is set to close. Although I haven't been for ages it is a sad loss as the reviews of a great traditional pub will testify, the tap for Nottingham Brewery (which seemingly will continue).

Just heard that the Plough in Radford is set to close.

Closure announced on Facebook this afternoon. What a shame.

Looking at the map there is now a big hole in the western part of Nottingham where, as Alan Winfield wrote in his review of 2012, there used to be lots of pubs.
