I agree the price is heading to £5 in parts of London.Have consciously tried to use a few cheaper pubs when I have been out recently.Purposely went to a bar last week that does half price keg from 5-7 every weekday.

It's a barber's that serves beer to customers not a bar that will cut your hair and at those prices only in bottles I suspect. Or am I missing something? I'm going to add all equivalent establishments I can find.

So every bowling alley and cinema can get added if they serve beer.

Just delete it as a admin fail for approving it.

[This thread has drifted off topic somewhat, and really should have been in the "How much?" thread instead. If someone knows how to fix that, please do so.]

I don't often drink in London - last time was 21 November 2017. Here's what I paid for halves in seven pubs:

Red Lion Duke Of York Street, SW1 £2.35
    Guinea Grill Mayfair £2.25
Cittie of Yorke Sam Smiths £1.60
Seven Stars Carey Street, WC2 £2.05
    Knights Templar Wetherspoons £1.73
Hack & Hop Fleet Street £2.00
Olde Cheshire Cheese Sam Smiths £1.60
    Average £1.94

Of course, the presence of two Sam Smiths and (my last ever appearance in) a Wetherspoons has skewed the average, but without those three we get a revised average of £4.40 per pint (assume none of the halves were rounded up). OK, small sample size and I'm not by any means suggesting you are wrong. I'm just grateful I can still get a pint and a half in the Wellington for £4.40, it's just £2.50 for a pint of Sheffield Crucible Best in the Gardeners Rest and (with a 10% discount by showing my Camra membership card) £2.88 for a pint of excellent Black Sheep in the Dog & Partridge.

    Did someone say "How much?!"

To me London is a complete joke. It's dominated by the big pubcos along with Young's & Fullers. They mostly have a captive market who couldn't care less what they pay. It seems to me that the prices have been ramped up in the last few years whereas cheaper and better areas may have had slight increases. The Great Western in Wolverhampton isn't a cheap Holden's house but all their regular beers apart from the Winter Old Ale are under three quid. As for Central London why does anyone bother with it?

Bloody ridiculous that's all I can comprehend regardless of similar establishments that may exist. It's a barber with a fridge.
