    My sister bought me this [Oxford] version for Christmas.     The study strikes me as being a bit under cooked. Thirteen venues? However, if the idea does go ahead, I wonder if all pubs and bars would drop their prices proportionately? I suspect quite a few wouldn't.

    Not really pub news; I don't know why the ES describes these places as 'American-inspired'; they are American.

    Follows a similar study by the same people into reducing the size of wine glasses earlier in the year. Which found a net reduction of 7.6% but no indication of a reduction in takings. Hmm - only one method of achieving that.
