Those who made it to the Little Ale House in the Harrogate crawl will no doubt be pleased to learn they are opening a branch in York. Not that there is any shortage of good pubs in York but it might at least go some way to replacing the late lamented Maltings.

A strange piece in the Times, with a snide, almost sarcastic tone, and some inaccurate grammar - what on earth does "chiefly serviced by metropolitan liberals" mean? The writer managed to spell the prime minister's name correctly, though. 😃
