Default 2019 Autumn PuG Crawl (Tie-breaker)

New poll to break the tie between Newark and Shrewsbury, with the suggestion that the losing finalist becomes the 2020 Autumn PuG Crawl destination (to be confirmed).

Thanks for posting the tie breaker poll.

There was a tentative plan that the 2020 Autumn Crawl should be a 10th Anniversary of the very first crawl back in Birmingham.

I'd forgotten about that when I suggested the runner up should get an automatic place and think that your suggestion is 100% correct. Perhaps places that haven't been visited for over 10 years should have the embargo removed?

Yes, agree with that, a lot can change in a decade.

18 votes on the first round, but just 14 so far on the tie-breaker - only five hours left so get down to the virtual polling station!

Maybe some people aren't too fussed about which it is. I'd happily go to either whereas on the big vote there were some places I was fairly indifferent about.

You may be right, but just one vote in it now, and less than an hour left...

Others "out in the sticks" are very bothered-

    Shrewsbury) 1 train, 30 minutes, leave 23.33, £7.15

Newark) 5 trains, 5 hours 10 minutes, leave 18.42, £64.90 (fair chance of not getting home due to missed connection)

Glad that I have been saved by the bell!

Works in reverse for me, initial costings Newark 3 hrs 30 - £54.00, Shrewsbury 4hrs plus - £110.00 , time , my attendance is now in doubt.

An advance ticket from Basingstoke to Wolverhampton on the XC Bournemouth to Manchester service with no railcards is £28.00 and takes two and a half hours. . A day return from Wolverhampton to Shrewsbury is £10.50. There are Premier Inns near both Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury stations which if you get in early enough are £30.00 per night..
Newark is much easier for me but I chose Shrewsbury for better options.
