Visit the a swift one site

First the good news. This time next week will herald the start of the Star Summer Beer Festival. The usual rules apply, 46 beers in the outside marquee and as many beers as possible served during the festival on the main bar. The beer list is a closely guarded secret at the moment but as soon as we know, you will know.

It will run from 5 pm Wednesday and Thursday nights and all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


Hope to see all the old faces there, and hopefully plenty of new ones for one of the best pub festivals around.


The bad news is that the Cellar Bar at Batley has recently closed. It was hoped it would cash in on the interest on the Trans Pennine Ale Trail but sadly this has not been the case and it has been forced to shut it doors for the last time.
