    Default Paddy's day nonsense

They've put all this in my local chain pub, green bunting and godknowswhat everywhere has appeared today.

WTF is Irish about VK Blue and cider? And I daren't contemplate what Paddy Colada might be.

Hope the telly's good on Thursday.

Both Marstons and Pitcher & Piano are giving away vouchers for a free pint of Guinness, and you don't actually have to go in on St Patricks Day to claim it - you have the rest of the month...

Why do these pub chains presume that English people wish to celebrate St Patricks Day. Good luck to the Irish and those of Irish descent and enjoy your day. I just dont get why English pubs want to jump on the bandwagon (well i do really). Lets hope they put the same gusto into St Georges Day.

Yep, got my Marston's one all ready to go, not my favourite pint or pub but free beer is free beer, and is sort of on my route home

Last year the press had a field day on a pub that put flags out for St George's Day as they were in trouble in case the flags incited riots.

Ah go-on, there'll be beer (or something loosely resembling it) and gurrls (or something loosely resembling them).
