    Default Summer Meet Up 2014

During our recent crawl of Worcester there was talk of a summer meet up again this year.

The only questions are where and when....

Glad you all had a good time.

Were there any thoughts about the location for the next one?

There were some discussions about a crawl in July before the school holidays begin (Often a time when rail deals may start to evaporate.)Specific dates and venue were not touched upon, and should start a lively debate,if anyone is feeling fit to get the ball rolling.

I think we'd informally agreed that we'd try and do a South-North-Midlands (or combination thereof) rota so no-one suffers (or maybe gains, depending on your viewpoint) overly in travelling costs/time when the cycle's done. Seeing as we've done Leeds then Worcester (which I guess most would call Midlands, yes?) then South seems the next logical choice, or certainly the one after next.

Or we could simply divvy up where everyone lives and do a 'weighted' geographical list

Depending on date, if anyone was looking at a cheapo to London, I may be able to offer 2 rooms accom before, or after, a jag to Brighton.
And don't forget to look at the amazing value of groupsave within the southerndaysave ticket, working out at £7.50 go-anywhere, if in a group of four.

Oh, I don't disagree with the North-Midlands-South idea.

    But THAT far south?

I suggest the next northern one is in Berwick on Tweed or Penrith then.

Or if hondo is feeling a bit left out how about Aberdeen or Perth?

Without any particular order or preference, how about one of the following?

    Derby.
    Bristol.
    Oxford.
    Cambridge.
    Northampton.
    St Albans.
