I bet it did, bananas generally don't work in drinks. I used to make a Parsnip & Banana wine which was acceptable.
I will be asking for a taster of this one. I used to do this with the Brodie's sours in Leyton until it got to the point where I would just ask if it was worth having a taste and the answer was always !No".
Oh I've just remembered what I may spend the last 1 1/2 days of annual leave on. Jist of plan? Stay/meet etc. I've done a fair bit of Pompey near the port but suspect this is more central.
I will be arriving at Portsmouth & Southsea station at 11.57,so will see you all in the IKB a few minutes later.
Just coming to the crawl for the day,so I will be aiming to get a return train from Fratton station around 8pm.
Looks to be a very extensive crawl, can't wait.

I'm on the 09:30 from Waterloo which gets to P & S station just after 11:00. I'm returning on the 19:20. I've got to work out what I can fit in with the IKB, Hole In The Wall and the Lord Palmerston.
I would suggest that the Summer crawl process needs to begin which as far as I know has been earmarked for the North wherever that is.

I'm on a flexible ticket but probably in around 11ish, Big Steve will be with me and possibly another mate Little Tony. Might swerve the Spoons, was in The Walnut Tree ,Leytonstone Saturday, two in a month would be quite ridiculous.

I've been to the Walnut Tree a few times lately and the beer choice has often been better than the Wanstead George. That's apart from the time when nearly everything went off and there was nobody around who could sort it out. They've applied to convert the unused upper storeys into a hotel. Prior to this new dawn it spent several years selling a poor choice of ales in poor condition.
Driving down in the morning and our hotel is a 15 minute walk to the IKB...
So traffic willing, hoping to see you in there by 12..
