I lived in Lancaster for five years but the Stonewell and Water Witch were never regular haunts. Never made it to the Snatchems Golden Ball which I rather regret now as I think it has closed down.

There's nothing on the pub's website, but their Facebook page has a (slightly ambiguous) farewell at the start of the first lockdown, but this is confirmed in this article reporting that the pub is on the market for £825,000.

Just the Shakespeare on the PuG crawl around Leicester.

Pretty sure you were on that crawl Moby, so maybe you've been in two?

None for me, and I'm afraid I can't warm to any of 'em, with the potential exception of the Crumpled Horn.

Good grief, 50s-70s architecture... how on earth did these 'visionaries' get away with so many absurd post-war builds/rebuilds? Absolute insanity, not just in this list but city centre eyesores all around the country in all guises of buildings.
Same for me, just the Shakespeare in Leicester, now gone, an amazing throw-back, in style and prices!

The Festival Inn - photographed only. If I'd known it was Grade II-listed and had an interior of National Importance I'd have tried it out.

    The Shakespeares Head

I've also been in the Samuel Whitbread, but only in Q Quick/Burger King mode only.
