I can only remember a pool table, my last visit ,at the time of my review was 3 months after JB's, although I had been there 2010 and didn't notice a snooker table then either, a quick check on the other side reveals a John Bonser review from 2009, he doesn't mention a snooker table but does a pool table, and no mention from Rex a month earlier. Maybe it was a short lived experiment.

There is the Plough near Homerton Station that is another rejuvenated Victorian dump. I haven't been to it but I know it has three handpumps which I think have local brews on.

There is also the London Fields Tap Room to consider which I visited last week. It has the advantage of opening at 11:00. I have a review of it awaiting it being added as a new pub. It is on the Whatpub site.

Thanks for this new info. Aqualung,I will keep an eye out for the London Fields Tap Room review when published and then do an updated version of the NLL crawl.

If you are starting at Liverpool Street you could always walk up to Shoreditch High Street station, get on the northbound Overground there and tick off Howl at the Moon near Hoxton and Duke's Brew &Que near Haggerston station , before changing onto the North London Line at Canonbury.

    Happy hunting !
Thanks for the surgestions BF , have done four of the pubs on your crawl but would not have a problem returning to any although not overly impressed with the Pembury last time out,(early doors on a Tuesday so bereft of custom and less atmosphere than the moon). not done any of the others you mentioned , I suspect John probably has so will wait and see what the other guys think.

You're more than welcome. There is another development in East London but it's not near a station. This place has installed a brewery , I believe the owners are the ones who have the North Laines brewery in Brighton. It used to be the Falcon and Firkin way back and was one of the better Firkin brew pubs. I'm going to try and get to it this Saturday.

Dont mind trying a few new pubs but not at the expense of good beer. I am happy to go with your thoughts and recommendations though.
If we meet at the Hamilton Hll Liverpool st (just been done up and its meant to be good)
across the road is Woodin Shades (Nicolsons) next street has Williams (10 handpumps specialising on London beers.10 mins walk to Bethnal green rd you have Brewdog(maybe) Well and Bucket (marmite but I like it) and a newly opened pub the Kings Arms (same owners as the Earl of Essex so should be good.TBC

Or after the Dukes we can cut though the back street as there are some interesting pubs tucked away and onwards to the North pole(nice pub) We will find good beer in all these pubs.
If we do meet up at Liv St we can do the local pubs then plan our day ahead .cheers john
