Channelling my inner Ena Sharples or is it Minnie Caldwell? with a nice milk stout. There’s been some anti lactose comment here lately but it’s the key ingredient of milk stout.

Your photo reminds me that I bought a can of Brew York Quaddy Modo 11.0% forest fruit and star anise quadrupel recently. Thankfully without any lactose. Ingredients include (as well as barley, hops and yeast) turbinado sugar, molasses, blackberries, blueberries, cherries and the aforementioned star anise. There are four malts listed and the hops are Mount Hood. I'm almost nervous about drinking it - what if it's absolutely terrible?
Come On You Hatters!
Tell you what, if I get anything else with peanuts and lactose in what is supposed to be 'beer', then I'll try to remember to bring the can with me on the next Pubs Galore crawl (assuming that there are any pubs left open by then...) and I'll swap it for a pint of the real stuff.
