No, it's Horsham. I'm getting a bus to Partridge Green from the Stout House and then back to the Anchor Tap. I plan these things months in advance and didn't even know about Brighton Beer week. I'm not keen on Brighton and would go to Hove along to Worthing in preference.
Won't it be ridiculously busy this Saturday?
I'll miss you then! Visiting the Dark Star shop? There's a good range and friendly service, though some of the beers do come in at the top end of the price range.
When in Brighton, I'm planning to work around the football crowds, but there could well be a load of beer fans in town, too. There's enough venues for me to get away from the multitudes if necessary.
Enjoy your day out.
Keeping breweries in business for more than 40() years
I doubt it, if both venues have Revelation on then there will be no need for extra sustenance on the relatively short journey back to Victoria!
Oh no!! Football as well as the summer school holiday trippers and beer tourists! It sounds like a complete nightmare.
And I hope you enjoy yours. When I visited the Partridge a few years ago I got the impression that the lines needed cleaning. I'm hoping for better this weekend.
GillHalfPint has broken through 1,000 reviews. Well done Gill!
Thank you. We get out on CAMRA coach trips once a month now to areas of the country we often don't get to, so nearly always new pubs for us too, and very enjoyable. I always intend to make notes, always forget, and with around 45 mins per pub serving a 22 coach full, not always a lot of time to enjoy a drink or two and have a wander round, but we try to get something on to show the pub is at least operating!
Alcohol doesn't solve problems .... but then again, neither does milk.
