Wish I could have met up with those who came to Birmingham, but we were on a CAMRA coach round Sutton cum Duckmanton, Doncaster Tap, Imperial Tap, Wentworth, Rotherham, Woodsetts and Harthill on 16th, and we are off to Bristol with the caravan to meet up with friends for a few nights tomorrow, so will be there on 23rd.

Plan to visit some old favourites in Bristol as well as discover a few new ones, especially around King Street.
Alcohol doesn't solve problems .... but then again, neither does milk.

Alert to all Bristol based PuGers.

If the weather conditions are OK ,I will be arriving by canalboat in Portishead Marina late afternoon on Monday 13th June and then Bristol Harbour the following afternoon (14th) .If anyone would like to meet up on either or both evenings Mr Phat and I will be sinking a few pints.
There is every possibility of a weather delay to these plans as the pilots won't take a narrowboat on the Severn Estuary in high winds in which case I will be stuck in Sharpness for a while and I will post up revised dates as and when I have them..

How are the plans looking? Do you have any more ideas of likely timings?

I will try to catch up on Tuesday, but can't promise anything at the moment.

The pilot said the conditions in the Severn Estuary are too gusty to attempt passage tomorrow and he is suggesting Wednesday as more likely ,which means Bristol on Thursday evening. I will confirm as soon as the departure from Sharpness is firm. See you all later in the week.

Having survived the Severn Estuary the annual booze cruise is hoving into view.If you happen to be in these various locations of an evening and fancy a few pints with a motley crew,it would be good to meet up.There will be some intermediate lunchtime sessions too, less easy to predict time and place but get in touch if this is a better option.

    Friday 1st July -- Bristol
    Saturday 2nd -- Bath
Sunday 3rd -- Bradford on Avon
    Monday 4th -- Devizes
    Tuesday 5th -- Pewsey
    Wednesday 6th -- Hungerford
    Thursday 7th -- Newbury
    Friday 8th -- Reading

I have the 8th off work and can easily be in Reading, earlier in the day works better for me but all things are possible.
