I'm now getting the problem with the map of England which is nothing more than slightly annoying.
The map has "for development purposes only" emblazoned across it.

It's been intermittently happening to me for ages so I just put it down to being a glitch.
WE ARE THE BREADMEN - UP THE BEES
I get same on a completely different site, I'm told it is something Google has done but being Luddite on W7 I've no idea if this is fake news or not

Yes it is all related to billing.
Basically up until recently site were allowed 25,000 maps to be displayed on the site per day for free, if you were regularly trying to get more than that Google would start chasing you for some money. PG was never near that limit.
They now only allow about 3,000 per day (which I suspect is going to drop over the next couple of years) and only allow you to use them once you put in credit card details to allow them to automatically charge you once you go over the limit.
The reason the maps are having problems is that I need to tweak how they are loading to allow Google to count them properly.
I am going to be looking at an alternative for the static maps, but will probably leave the dynamic maps as they are for now.
On a side note, I'm still using Windows 7 too!
Seems to be working OK with Linux (Ubuntu 17)
