Having had a pint at quite a few of these 'non-existent' pubs, I would say that despite their obvious faults (e.g. high-for-the-chain prices and a limited / predictable choice of real ales) these are still usually the best choice in any UK airport where it has a presence..

What about the fact that you can't access most of them unless you're travelling? They don't include them in the main body of the JDW Directory unless it's in error, so they don't exist.

The majority are airside so completely inaccessible to the general public. In the JDW directory they are listed on a separate page.
I've never flown anywhere and am not going to start doing so at this late stage. I got a Passport a few years ago but only so I could get the online three year Senile railcard and in case I would need one to get to Ireland.
