"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Quiet week for me.
Ossett - Yorkshire Brunette.
Saltaire - Cascade.
Westgate - Ruby Rouge.
Rat - White Rat.
Hadrian Border - Tyneside Blonde.
Oakham - Scarlet Macaw.*
Five Towns - V2 Feige.
North Riding - Mosaic.*
Stancill - Black.
All a bit 'meh', for one reason, or another, apart from the Scarlet and the Mosaic, with the latter being the easy winner.
'And where he supped the past lived still. And where he sipped the glass brimmed full' John Barleycorn, Carol Ann Duffy.
Very quiet but perked up by BOTW Blue Monkey Chimpagne (bottle).
Brewed with champagne yeast and at 10% ideal for a small celebration.

ELB Peacock
Five Points XPA
Oakham JHB
Beavertown Gamma Ray
Pressure Drop Tambourine Mountain
Amundsen Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Imperial Stout
Slaters Amarillo
Muirhouse Pirates Gold
Hammerpot Australian Pale.
All good except for the Harvey's , not in great condition, keg wins the day, hard to choose between the Pressure Drop and Amundsen beers both thoroughly enjoyed in The Kings Arms,a great beer pub, Tambourine Mountain takes the prize just, a fine example of craft keg murk.

"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer."

Mine for last week, most of which were from a small crawl in Stockport:
Boltmaker - Timothy Taylor's (not new to me but included for completeness)
Queen of Diamonds - Wild Card
Riptide - Fool Hardy Ales
Ragabash - Fool Hardy Ales (taster)
Baby Barleywine - Marble
Velvet Mild - Naylor's
Celtic Warrior - Pictish (taster)
1924 - Mobberley Brewhouse
Taking The Pith - Mobberley Brewhouse (taster)
Hexenahus Gingerbread Stout - Thirst Class Ale
Dry Stout - Cloudwater x Green Cheek collab
Made in the Shade - Track
I think it's joint first place for the Dry Stout, a Cloudwater / Green Cheek collaboration, 5.9% on cask at The Petersgate Tap and the Made in the Shade by Track, a 5.6% porter and also on cask at The Font. I enjoyed the Fool Hardy Ales ones too, to be fair.
