A pub is for life not just for Christmas
A lot of good pubs visited in Manchester and Worcester last month, I shall go with The Marble Arch, Impressive, But an honarble mention must go to Ye Olde Mitre Inne.

The City Arms
There were so many fine pubs in Manchester that this is a tough decision, but this was my first visit here and certainly not my last.Special mention to The Falcon,a completely different kettle of fish in historic Fotheringhay.
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
There are two pubs I gave the 10 score to in October. The Yard Of Ale is set in a sleepy suburb of Broadstairs and is a micropub that was formerly a stable.
The Trackside Bar is by the platform of Bury Station on the East Lancs preserved railway. It's got a choice of twelve beers.
The micropub narrowly heads off the challenge from the Trackside Bar.
The good news is that Broadstairs has a fourth micropub which opened yesterday. This gives me an excellent excuse to return and not have to bother with any "proper" pubs which seemed to me to be a right load of rubbish.
POTM Yard Of Ale
As predicted by Aleandhearty,my POTM is The Cover Bridge Inn I try not to honour it too regularly, but it really hit the spot on my visit this Monday. Knowledgeable guv, and timeless pub.Closely followed by Halfway House. A bit nearer home for us, but alas not as frequently visited.

"Do I know where hell is? hell is in hello"
Friendly welcome and Ghost Ship in great nick hands POTM to The White Horse.
"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter

Kettering's Alexandra Arms edged out London, W2's Victoria in terms of welcome and beer range.
