With some ales taken in volume, there were many contenders but just shading BOTW was Crafty Beers Sauvignon Blonde on top form in The Maypole during and after the semi final..Hints of elderflower and ginger in this sessionable ale dulled the pain.
Next week a rest is needed.

Some variety:
Oakham Citra*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Church End Fallen Angel*
TT Boltmaker
York Guzzler
Woodfordes West Coast Wherry*
Batemans Skull and Hammers
BOTW Woodfordes West Coast Wherry. More to my taste than their traditional wherry with a touch more strength, new world hops and more intense flavour.

Brewdog - Punk IPA
A fairly quiet week for me with the hot weather knocking out one day :-
Wimbledon Common 3.7%
Holden's Black Country Bitter 3.8%
Wimbledon Copper Leaf 4.0%
ELB Mandarina 4.1%
BCA English Summer 4.1%
Portobello Summer Blonde 4.2%
Portobello Squidge Stout 4.5%
Beowulf Dragon Stout 4.7%
Black Hole Supernova 4.8%
Holden's Special 5.1%
Welbeck Abbey Nightingale 5.5%
Enefield London Porter 5.5%
Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild 6.0%
Enefield London IPA 6.0%
The winner is the Wimbledon Copper Leaf as tried for £3.20 in the Lych Gate Tavern. A note to the arrogant Mr Sharp of Cornwall that this was a 4.0% ABV brown beer that was not boring. It came from a brewery that he so rudely dismissed as "amateurs" a few years back. The ELB Mandarina from another "amateur" outfit was just as good but cost a quid more because it was tried in a London suburban pub rather than one in the city centre of Wolverhampton.
BOTW Wimbledon Copper Leaf
Not much pub time this week, unfortunately. Just a flying couple of pints on Friday teatime, after picking up the 'trouble and strife'.
North Riding - Mosaic Pale.*
Empire - Moonrakers MILD.
Both have been previous BOTWs, but the MILD was a little below par this time.
