A pub is for life not just for Christmas
The Wenlock Arms
This real ale pub has become very reliable for outstanding ale on my last few trips, and although notionally in Hoxton it still retains a traditional boozer vibe with a good mix of customers. For my money it has edged ahead of the nearby Old Fountain in this part of London.

In any other month, two of the pubs right at the top of my 'must find a way of visiting' list - the Blue Anchor in Helston and the Square & Compass in Worth Matravers - would have walked away with the title, but for something slightly less obvious I will nominate the Seven Stars in Falmouth which I hadn't really heard of beforehand but is certainly in the same good company.
The Wellington Arms . A good example of a traditional Backstreet boozer with a surprisingly good beer selection.

A quiet month on the pub front unfortunately but I enjoyed a visit to POTM A Room With a Brew in Nottingham.
I've not much to choose from this month but I did like the Duke William in Burslem and the Titanic pub down the road a few yards with a good micropub opposite make it all very worthwhile.
Duke William Burslem
Just three new visits in April, although several re-visits, but one of the three newbies was worth making the trip almost the whole length of the Central Line for - Leyton Orient Supporters Club - the model for any sporting club bar to aspire to.

POTM - https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/31124/ fantastic pub, one you'd have trouble leaving...
This one was a close second, really enjoyed our visit https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/81024/ (best pork pie of the year, so far!)
I give up, can't do that link where the pub name comes up, instead of the gobbledygook above
