A pub is for life not just for Christmas

Lots of great pubs on the Hull PuG crawl, but this one topped the list for me ,traditional and in a great position.
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
Bit of a strange month for me in March, I agree with B.F. about a number of pubs in Hull but two pubs/bars eclipsed them for me, a former POTM ,The Wenlock Arms was excellent on my latest trip and has been very much so for at least the last three visits over the past six months, but I'll go for a newbie, Off Broadway,POTM, a Craft bar not a pub, hellishly expensive but good beer, good live music and a vibrant ambiance, it may well turn out to be an average place mid-week without the live music and vibrant market taking place outside, but my Saturday afternoon experience hit the spot.

I'm going for the Triple fff brewery's Railway Arms in Alton. I've always liked this brewery and this is a basic Ale House with good prices for the South.
POTM Railway Arms
No real standouts for March, but The White Horse in Banbury gets the nod for beer range (a Shropshire / Welsh-themed week), ambience, service and the fact they were playing vinyl during my visit.
"Breakneck speed we drown ten pints of bitter"
Very late on this, some brilliant pub visits in March, very hard to choose one, but here are some highlights:
Spread Eagle
Needle & Pin
Station Buffet
Black Rat
This one gets POTM an excellent new micro in Nottingham:
