A pub is for life not just for Christmas

The Woolpack Inn A great evening in a revitalised village pub.
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
The Bull's Head in Burslem. A superb pub with top quality ale.
A quiet month for new pubs, but I was rather taken with Lamb & Flag, another fine restoration job by Leeds Brewery.
'And where he supped the past lived still. And where he sipped the glass brimmed full' John Barleycorn, Carol Ann Duffy.
St Albans was the only new town for me last month so I am going with The Six Bells, shading it from Ye Olde Fighting Cocks and The White Hart Tap.
"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer."

I went to some great pubs on my visit to Nottingham early last month but thought The Sir John Borlaise Warren was the best. Not to be confused with a Spoons having a similar name, it has the advantage of having a few other really good pubs very close by.

Have to agree with Moby, The Six Bells gets POTM from me. Excellent.
Also very impressed with these two:-
The North Western (JD Wetherspoon)
The Draft House Charlotte
The Orange Tree
If you ever find yourself in Baldock, this pub is worth seeking out.
