A very quiet week for me after the excesses of last week. My BOTW goes to Enville Nailmaker Mild - a lovely, chocolate flavoured mild and a bargain at £2.50 at Far From the Madding Crowd in Oxford.
In all the time I have been participating in this thread, I feel I have shown myself to be someone who enjoys their cask ales very much – so why is it that last week I failed to have one single pint of real ale? I don’t know how I allowed this to happen and it will certainly not happen again! Suffice to say, it was Guinness, Corona, Smirnoff Ice’s, double vodka’s, tequila’s and whatever else…. But no proper beer!
Now, this makes for incredibly sad reading

A restrained start to our week in Yorkshire: the choice is between Timothy Taylor Landlord and Black Sheep Riggwelter at the CB Inn in Arkengarthdale. The balance of probability goes to Riggwelter, as the Landlord was too damn cold.Too cold is was than brown and dull in my book.
