I think he's worrying unneccessarily, I tend to buy my Belgian beer according to who brewed it not because it's "Belgian". I'm much more worried about this story having suffered a recent shortage of Prior myselfOriginally Posted by hondo

Did anyone else check the date as they read that?
It seemed a bit bizarre to me, wasn't ale previously used as a method of killing the bacteria in water to make it drinkable? Meaning that ale was safer to drink than water frequently?
