A fair amount of dark beers this past week all very good but BOTW goes to an English IPA at 6.4% loaded with fruity Orange & Apricot flavours along with some subtle spice,
Utopian Heritage IPA, taken of course in The Borough Beer House.

Kent: old school, two solid quaffing beers.
Goacher's Special House Ale. 3.8%abv. Slightly on the fruity spectrum.
Larkins' Traditional. 3.4%. As good and toffeish as ever. Appropriately I'd just been talking with a lady who'd been planting hops for Larkins'.My BOTW.

Low on variety but some good quality old faves:
Brancaster Oystercatcher*
Barsham Golden Close IPA*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Hop Back Summer Lightening*
All worthy BOTWs but Hop Back Summer Lightening takes it. Still excellent after all these years and, when kept well, ridiculously drinkable.

Another quiet week.
Ossett - White Rat.
Sunbeam - Dance Before The Storm.
Morton Collins - Roxy.
Leeds - Pale.
St Austell - Tribute.
A pretty under-powered bunch, for various reasons. The Roxy was easily the winner. Taken in The Star.
