A pub is for life not just for Christmas
From a narrow choice of two, the gong goes to the Pelt Trader, EC4.
"Breakneck speed we drown ten pints of bitter"
I enjoyed The Eskdale Inn on the way to the Lion at Blakey Ridge. A couple of relaxed morning pale ales in a quiet and remote part of the North Yorkshire Moors.
The Lion was good, but absolute chaos.
Exploring the highways and byways of Battersea this month with little reward and just three new pubs of above average standard:
The Candlemaker.
The Eagle Ale House.
.
POTM going to The Fox & Hounds.
Avoiding repeat nominating the "elite" pubs in town, Brightons The Geese (Have Gone Over The Water) put up a good enough show to be this Months POTM.
"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer."

The Eagle
The name will always pique my interest, this was a most enjoyable and boozy visit and I see it is now in the 2024 GBG,rightly so IMHO
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
Another vote for The Eagle.
A characterful micro with a well chosen beer selection, top governor and chatty locals.
